Huge buckets of Home Guard gratitude are aimed in the general direction of Last.fm user vjsupersaint, who has gone above and beyond by setting up a “fan based group on last.fm for this very good, very fresh band”:

Feel free to head over there and join – the more, the merrier. Thanks, Mike!

The Home Guard are very proud to be featured on the latest edition (59) of the Cowboy Cantor Podcast, which you can download here:

http://media.libsyn.com/media/cowboycantor/059.mp3

The more observant among you will have noticed by now that the presenter, Rodrigo de Sá, isn’t speaking in English. That’s because Cowboy Cantor is apparently the only podcast from the Azores islands, and as such is not surprisingly in Portuguese.

Champagne Socialist comes on at 18:28, by the way. Rodrigo might have said something nice about afterwards, but your guess is as good as ours, really.

You can visit Cowboy Cantor on MySpace here:

The official blog is here:

We’d like to give an extra special thanks to Rodrigo for asking to play our music – it’s people like him that really do more than anyone else for small bands like us. Any way we can reach new listeners is all right by us!

Many thanks to our great friend Acuvi who has posted our cover of The Beatles’ For No One on her MySpace profile for all to hear, as you can see here:

http://www.myspace.com/acuvi

We’re always grateful whenever anyone embeds our music on their profile, and it guarantees you a “Top Friend” spot on MySpace if you choose to do so. You can now also do it on Facebook, incidentally, via the iLike or My Band apps (though we’re only just finding our feet on there). By the way, we thoroughly recommend that you check out Acuvi’s music blog, too:

As always, you can download the mp3 of For No One from here (right-click and “Save Target as…”):
