What’s the most bizarre place you’ve found something that belongs to you? I once found that someone had left my Mars bar in the freezer, but that’s absolutely nothing on what went through my mind when I came across this:

There, in the middle, is one of our songs! If anyone out there can read Chinese better than Babelfish, we’d love an explanation as to what that site’s all about (and, more importantly, if anyone said anything nice about us…).
We’re dead chuffed that over the weekend The Home Guard passed the 3000 plays mark on Last.fm. You can see for yourself (and listen to our music) here:

If you haven’t yet climbed aboard the Last.fm bandwagon, it’s a cross between an Internet radio station and a social networking site, and you can easily set your own comfortable balance between the two. If you’re in a band, it’s probably the most sure-fire way to get your music heard by people who are likely to be into your particular genre (rather than the haphazard randomness of MySpace, for instance).
If you join up (or if you’re already a member), don’t forget to add us to your library, join our fan-created fan club (thanks Ian!), and feel free to give eitherĀ Dan or me a shout. We look forward to hearing from you!
Every so often we Google ourselves to see if anything new comes up, and lo and behold:

It seems that Yahoo! Music is still in beta, but when it’s all tidied up it looks as if it could be a decent place to browse. It includes links to each band on the likes of Last.fm, Pandora (which we’re not on), Rhapsody, YouTube and others, although it seems to have missed our iTunes page. Not sure what’s going on with those Flickr pics, either.
Still, if it’s your thing, give it a try.
There’s a headline I never in a million years thought I’d write, but it’s true:

They’re a little late to the party, and it’s downloads only (no sign of the CD in their store), but it’s there if anyone wants it.
