You know the story: Champagne Socialist has been featured on the coverdisc of a UK mag, so we thought we’d offer the mp3 for free download to everyone until the end of July. Right-click and ‘Save Target As…’ to snag it (left-click and it will just play in a new window):

We’d be grateful if you were to share this link with anyone whom you think will like it. In fact, we’ll be offended if you don’t!
This file will be taken down next week, so download while you can.
It’s been brought to our attention that we made our Indian radio debut in the last few weeks.
It appears that Champagne Socialist was broadcast on the Goa FM station of All India Radio (an official Government-run organisation). For this we have to thank our good friend Vijay. You can listen to his band here:

Meanwhile, don’t forget that you have until the end of July to download Champagne Socialist for free. Please share this link with anyone and everyone:

Firstly, if not, why not? It’s a sort of Internet radio station that plays songs on demand or works on recommendations from your peers who like what you like. It’s the best thing to happen to the music industry in years, and it’s as free as you want it to be. Sign up now!

Now, for those of you that do have an account, may I draw your attention to our page?

We’d be forever indebted to anyone who adds our songs to their playlist, recommends us to a friend or group, posts about us elsewhere or generally hypes us up. A shout on our page will always help it look lived-in rather than neglected.
As a not-so-special bonus, if you want to contact a member of the band, Chris has a personal account here:

Things seem to be gathering pace for us at the moment, with this airplay coming hot on the heels of our exposure on Hastings Rock, BBC Radio 6music and the coverdisc of Computer Music magazine.
We’re delighted that presenter Alex Zane (no less) chose us out of around 12000 profile friends to play Walking Against the Wind on his show (from around 1:22:40 in).
More to the point, it’s great that he didn’t go for the more obvious choice of Champagne Socialist. Which, in a seamless link, you can still download from here until the end of July:

Well, the headline says it all really: at some point yesterday, our songs were played for the 5000th time on MySpace.
Of course, that’s nothing compared to some bands on there, but it’s a pretty humbling figure for little old us. (And we don’t artificially inflate our play count or send automated friend requests with bots, either.)
Interestingly, very nearly 2500 plays have been of Champagne Socialist, meaning that that song makes up around 50% of listens. This figure has ramped up since our airplay on Hastings Rock and BBC 6music.
Speaking of which, don’t forget to grab that Champagne Socialist mp3, free until the end of July. (Tell your friends!). Right click and “Save target as…” to download:

Many thanks to our good friend Courtney, who has given us a generous plug on her blog:

We first met Courtney through MySpace. Here’s her page:
