“These go up to 11…”

News @ 20 July 2009, “No Comments”

This is a new one for us… thanks to our good friend Rodrigo De Sá (of Cowboy Cantor fame), we’ve been played on a podcast we didn’t even submit to! You can hear our appearance on AMPed here (click to play, right-click and “Save Target As…” to download):

This is episode 187 of the official podcast of The Association of Music Podcasting (AMP), which “promotes and supports the idea that independent musicians and podcasters are the best hope for you to hear exciting new music”. We’re on second, by the way. The show notes are here:

Champagne Socialist was previously featured on episode 59 of the Cowboy Cantor Podcast, and we’ve got the clip to prove it (once again, click to play, right-click and “Save Target As…” to download):

Hosted by the aforementioned Rodrigo de Sá, we believe that this series is actually the only podcast based in the mid-Atlantic archipelago that is the Azores. As such, the more observant amongst you may notice that this show is in the Portuguese language (so we had no idea where to edit it), making it the first non-English-speaking appearance for The Home Guard. We are of course extremely grateful for this chance to reach a whole new audience.

Many thanks one again, Rodrigo! You can download the latest Cowboy Cantor episodes from here:
